Green Mountain Animal Defenders

Lucky's Journey to Safety

Lucky has undoubtedly earned her name! Originally she belonged to a breeder who planned to euthanize her because she was producing only one puppy per litter, which was not profitable. In order to save her, a young woman who knew the breeder took Lucky but could not keep her because she already had more dogs than her parents could tolerate.

Lucky was passed between at least four different homes, including one where she was too frisky for the older dog already living there. Cecelia, a longtime GMAD member, learned about Lucky?s plight from a friend who could not keep the sweet four year old dog due to an allergic reaction.

At that point, Cecelia contacted our office for help in finding a safe and stable home for Lucky. Even though Lucky had a little problem with controlling her bladder, Green Mountain Animal Defenders found the perfect placement for her within 48 hours. In the security of her new home, Lucky has almost completely overcome her ?problem? and seems delighted to be so loved by her new family.
